A FALMOUTH-BASED company has bucked the national trend and announced a sales growth of 29 per cent for 2013.
Clothing retailer Seasalt has also opened new stores in Chichester and Lyme Regis, with plans for a further five in 2014.
Nick Chadwick, joint managing director at Seasalt, said: "It has been a very busy year helped by the beautiful summer we had.
"It has meant that we were able to increase our workforce by an extra 47 people."
Seasalt has won several awards, including the Price Waterhouse West of England Business of the Year and Industry Magazine Drapers Womenswear Brand of the Year, and been given the Queen's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development.
Mr Chadwick said: "Our awards this year have helped us become recognised as a business with huge ambition.
"Winning the Queen's Award was a huge honour for everybody in the business."
