End the summer in culinary style in Truro

FOR A taste of Cornwall that the whole family can enjoy, head to the Big Produce Market on Friday, August 29 and Saturday, August 30.

Lemon Quay, Truro, will come alive from 9am to 4pm each day with the sights, sounds and smells of some of the most exciting, and delicious, local food and drink available.

Over 50 local, independent producers will be represented at the market for you to browse, sample and buy some of the freshest ingredients available.

Choose from fresh fish and crab caught off the county's coast to rare breed pork and organic beef farmed within ten miles of the farmers' market itself as well as locally brewed cider, wild game from nearby estates, freshly baked bread, preserves and relishes made using traditional recipes, fresh fruit and vegetable grown in nearby fields and much more.

For added inspiration to turn the treats available at the market stalls into stunning dishes, leading local chefs will be on hand.

Cooking demonstrations from some of the most exciting talent in the region including Fiona Were from Mullion Cove, Joe Lado from Gwel an Mor, above, and Nigel Tabb from Truro's own Tabbs Restaurant, below, will run throughout both days so you can experience what the experts can do with the local produce available to you at the Big Produce Market.

Live local music, face-painting and a variety of street food vendors from across the region add to the carnival feel of the Big Produce Market and ensure there is something to satisfy everyone's appetite for the delights Cornwall has to offer. Come and end the summer in culinary style.
