POP sensation Ellie Goulding has shown her love for Cornish Cream ahead of her performing at the Eden Project later this year.
The “Burn” singer posted a photograph on her Instagram account, a picture-based social media application on smart phones, of a scone and a pot of Rodda’s cream that she was about to tuck into.
But it seemed the popstar was trying to prevent herself eating the scone as she had put a lump of cheese on top of it. She wrote: “How to not eat a delicious scone when it's right in front of you- put something you detest directly on top of it.”
The pot of Rodda’s cream was pictured beside it.
And in response the Redurth-based creamery sent Ellie, 27, a photograph of her own customised pot of their award-winning cream with her name on the front of it.
A spokesman from Rodda’s said: “We love hearing from people who are fans of our clotted cream; so it was a great surprise when Ellie Goulding posted a photo of a Rodda's Cornish Cream pot on instagram.
“It has now had 65,000 likes, which is amazing. This really does highlight the growing power of social media in communicating with local, national and international audiences.”
Ellie Goulding will take to the stage at St Austell’s Eden Project on Tuesday July 8 as part of the Eden Sessions – live music held at the iconic domes.
