A 30-year-old horse was rescued after it slipped and got stuck half upside down against a fence in Looe today.
Fire crews from Looe and Bodmin helped the horse after it got wedged against a fence at a Morval stable yard by using strops and lines at around 4.11pm.
At 5.30pm the horse was in an upright position and in the care of the owner and the vet who also attended.
A spokesman for Looe Community Fire Station said: “The horse slipped off a concrete standing and got wedged between the hard standing and the fence.
“The horse was elderly and may have lost footing.
“It took us about 30 minutes to get the horse out of the fencing.
“The vet sedated the horse and we were able to remove the fence and secure the horse.”
The owners led the horse into an adjoining field to re-cooperate.
