Don't take chances

Matthew Bennie, at the Truro Tyre Centre, offers some timely advice about making sure your wheels are aligned properly.

Poor wheel alignment is one of the major causes of premature tyre wear, although it's not only the front wheels that can go out of alignment – rear wheels can do too. So what causes incorrect wheel alignment? It is remarkably easy to knock a car wheel out of alignment. Things like accidentally hitting the kerb or thudding through a large pothole in the road can cause symptoms – as well as travelling regularly on bumpy uneven and gravelly road surfaces.

As well as better fuel economy and smoother handling and steering, correct wheel alignment will extend the life of your tyres and help to reduce wear and tear on your car.

Wheel alignment needs to be checked by a professional like ourselves – a check is free – you just pay if adjustment is required.

Matthew can be reached at Truro Tyre Centre, Unit 35 Threemilestone Industrial Estate, Truro, on 01872 264200.
