One dog has died and another rescued after they both fell down a 50ft cliff at Gwithian yesterday.

Two springer spaniels fell down a large cliff at Peter's Point while they were out for a walk with their owner at 5.10pm.

The RSPCA, the Portreath Coastguard and a vet were on the scene to check the dogs over but one died after the fall.

A spokesman for Falmouth Coastguard said: “They retrieved the dogs using a rope rescue kit.”

The surviving dog was handed back to the owner after it was checked over.

Cornishman.... Do you wonder why fewer people comment on these boards now? The spam posts above are the main reason, why can't you stop this rubbish before you lose readers?
