A DELABOLE man has appeared in court, charged with the murder of pensioner Joan Roddam in 2003.
Patrick Curran, of West Down Road, Delabole appeared before Bodmin Magistrates’ Court for a brief hearing this morning.
He was arrested on Monday by detectives and interviewed at Launceston Police Station yesterday. He was charged with her murder last night.
The 38-year-old’s case has now been adjourned to Plymouth Crown Court tomorrow for a bail application.
Curran was charged after the files were subjected to a detailed cold case review by Cornwall’s Major Crime Investigation Team.
Curran entered no plea at Bodmin court today and will appear before Plymouth Crown Court tomorrow at 10am.
