A CAMELFORD man has appeared at Truro Crown Court accused of a series of sexual and violent offences.
Michael Hatchell, of Hill View, Valley Truckle, appeared at the court yesterday charged with causing a woman to fear violence by assaulting her and threatening her with violence repeatedly between January 1, 2008 and February 13, 2012, at Bodmin as well as five sexual offences allegedly committed against her on dates between 2009 and 2012.
Hatchell, 37, who was placed on conditional bail, made no pleas in respect of the charges and is due to appear before the court again on October 18.
A 50-YEAR-OLD man made no pleas when he appeared before a judge at Truro Crown Court on an allegation of burglary, last Wednesday (July 17).
Charles Masters, of Tremena Road, St Austell was placed on bail on the condition that he does not enter the village of Rock.
He is due to appear the court again on October 2.
A BODMIN man is accused of intending to pervert the course of justice by removing the identifying features on a stolen winch.
Jonathan Orchard, 37, of Vivian Road, who is also charged with dishonestly receiving stolen goods, entered no pleas when he appeared before Truro Crown Court yesterday.
He was placed on unconditional bail and is due to appear before the court again on October 2.
A BODMIN man denied a charge of burglary when he appeared by prison video link at Truro Crown Court yesterday.
Darren Tomkiss, 34, of Hillside Park, is accused of entering as a trespasser a property at Granny’s Green, Bodmin with the intent to steal on May 5, 2013.
He was further remanded in custody and a date is due to be set for his trial.
A REDRUTH man has appeared at Truro Crown Court accused of attempting to murder a 16-year-old boy.
Aaron Odgers, 24, of Southgate Street, is charged with trying to kill the victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons on June 23.
He also faces a charge of wounding a woman with an attempt to do her grievous bodily harm.
Odgers entered no pleas when he appeared before a judge yesterday.
He is due to return to the court for a plea and case management hearing on October 11.
A 50-YEAR-OLD man has denied using or threatening unlawful violence at Camborne.
Yesterday at Truro Crown Court Dean Crowner of Roscroggan Chapel, Camborne, pleaded not guilty to one charge of affray and another of having an offensive weapon – a knife – on July 4.
Crowner, who appeared via prison video link, is due back at the court on September 27.
