No sooner has the clean-up started following Friday night’s storm than forecasters have issued another severe weather warning for tomorrow.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain across the county from 12.15am until 11.45pm tomorrow.
In some areas 30 to 40mm of rain is expected to fall over high ground in the South West.
A spokesperson for the Exeter-based weather agency said the rain is not expected to be as heavy or prolonged as last week but it has the potential to exacerbate existing flood problems.
They added: “The public should be aware of this possible further flood risk and disruption to transport.”
The Environment Agency has kept a flood alert in place for the whole of the Cornish coastline.
