Cornwall pelted by heavy downpours and thunderstorms - with more on the way

One could be mistaken for still thinking its winter in Cornwall, as heavy downpours and thunderstorms dwindle over much of the duchy.

Met Weather has forecast heavy, slow moving and potentially thundery showers in Cornwall which could lead to localised flooding until this evening.

And it doesn't look set to ease up any time soon with more wet and windy weather, including periods of persistent heavy rain from late Thursday through Friday and Saturday.

Downpours do appear to be very localised with reports of heavy rain in Truro, Falmouth and Mawgan Porth, but none in Devoran, Bodmin or Feock, and 'blissful sunshine' in Fowey!

Sick of the rain. When is summer going to arrive already?
