Cornwall is boring, while Devon is the best place to live - according to users of Google.

A map of England has been produced showing what phrase pops up first when you type 'Cornwall is ...' or 'Devon is ...' into the search engine.

The Duchy is one of five counties to receive the 'boring' tag, while others fared even worse, with Gloucestershire receiving the title of 'is a dump'.

Elsewhere, Oxfordshire is 'overrated', Buckinghamshire is 'posh', while Yorkshire is 'better than Lancashire' and vice versa.

You can see the map in full by clicking here.

Now read this; http://tinyurl.com/o6sh7y9 .The vice chair of Heartlands Trust has said, as many people thought, that it was Kerrier District Councils agenda to destroy the reminders of the mining industry as it was seen as a barrier to attracting bussinesses. Now tell me that those in charge of Cornwall seriously care about its past while at the same time obliterating everything that was built in the past.

As Cornwall has more listed buildings and scheduled ancient monuments than almost any other similar-sized part of Britain, break's comments are simply ignorant.

Have to say I agree, totally devoid of life. Mostly thanks to lack of investment and nay sayers.

Cornwall is the best place for pasties and Cream Teas (better than the Devonshire ones)...It's also where Doc Martin is filmed but most of all it's open for business!

I'm interested in old buildings, history and I enjoy the countryside, and I can say Cornwall is definately not the place to come or live if you're interested in any of them, they don't exist.

Before I receive red marks, I was born in Cornwall and have lived in Truro all my life. Cornwall can be a boring place to live ( like anywhere ), I have never had an interest in fishing, surfing or walking around fields and coast paths. For many kids/ teens they love theme parks and fun places to visit, something Cornwall doesn't have. I think it all depends on what the individual enjoys to do in their spare time will, I find visiting the Eden project to view plants or Hartlands to look at an old building is dull and boring ( my freedom of judgement and views).
