TWO acts from Cornwall have been added to the bill of North Devon’s new Somersault festival, which is headlined by Jack Johnson and Ben Howard on July 17 to 21.
Newquay-based Neil Halstead, pictured, who has just reunited his influential shoegaze band Slowdive, will play a solo set at the Castle Hill estate. His last two albums were released on Jack Johnson’s label, Brushfire Records.
Launceston’s Crowns will perform their rumbustious Cornish-tinged folk punk.
Other names added to the bill include Amadou & Mariam, Fink, Omara ‘Bombino’ Moctar, Nick Mulvey, Half Moon Run, Catfish And The Bottlemen, Hiss Golden Messenger and Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars. For more details see www.somersaultfestival.com
