A REDRUTH-BASED choir is aiming to build on its 2013 success. Tereba Nessa, a music group which sings many of its songs in Cornish, reflected on a busy year at its annual general meeting.

The group was formed in January 2012 to enter the Cornwall Music Festival and, although it did not win, members enjoyed singing together and have been performing ever since.

Last year the choir was adopted by Gorsedh Kernow – a group responsible for promoting all things Cornish – to support hymn singing at Cornish language church services. The group also enjoyed a busy Christmas at several concerts.

Anybody interested in joining can call chairman Paul Holmes on 01209 719275.
