TWO Cornish businesses are up for awards at the South West’s Rural Oscars.
The awards, drawn up by the Countryside Alliance, celebrate the best in rural produce, skills, enterprise and heritage by small hard-working businesses.
Now in its ninth year the awards are recognised as the definitive rural business trophy to win.
Ponsonooth Village Stores near Truro has been nominated for the Village Shop/Post Office Category and St Tudy Community Shop and Post Office, near Bodmin, is also in the same category.
Should one of them be judged the winner then they will hold the regional champion title.
Other categories including Local Food Category, Butcher Category and Start-up Category featuring businesses from all across the south west.
