Burnham 1 Truro City 2
A late goal from substitute Cody Cooke gave City their second Calor League premier division win in four days as they won consecutive league games for only the second time this season.
Cooke struck at The Gore with only ten minutes left after a good turn and finish from inside the box, as City came from behind to clinch a precious three points as they bid for a strong end to the season.
Manager Steve Massey named the same side for a third successive game, but City began slowly and fell behind when Nikke Kabamba beat Ollie Chenoweth from the edge of the area.
City though were given a lifeline just before the break when a needless handball from John Munday gifted the visitors a penalty, which full back Steve Tully superbly converted into the top corner.
It was his third successful spot kick of the season
And after the break, City’s task was made easier when Lew Driver saw red for a foul and the visitors made the most of their man advantage.
With time running out Cooke, with his fifth goal of the season, ensured a happy trip back from Buckinghamshire for Massey’s men after a win which moved them up one place in the table to 18th.
