A TRURO firm has been recognised by the Law Society for its work in helping first-time buyers at its annual Excellence Awards.
Coodes, which has offices across Cornwall, won the Excellence in Conveyancing Practice category, which recognises commitment to the values of the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS).
More than 600 lawyers and their guests joined Law Society president Lucy Scott-Moncrieff and BBC broadcaster Mishal Husain at a black-tie dinner and presentation ceremony at Old Billingsgate in London.
The judges were impressed by Coodes' specialist services for first-time buyers as well as the buy-to-let and affordable housing markets.
Alistair Whyte, head of residential property at Coodes, added: "This is an incredible achievement for Coodes.
"We were up against conveyancing teams at law firms across the country, so we're very proud that our work in the South West has been recognised on a national scale.
"It proves that local conveyancing teams continue to offer the best service for clients in terms of efficiency, understanding their region and personal service."
