A CORNISH charity is taking to the road to help people save money on their energy bills.

Cornwall Rural Community Council is holding a series of events across the county and will be offering free advice to help consumers save energy, reduce their bills and ensure they get all the help to which they are entitled.

The charity will be coming to Truro's Lemon Quay on Wednesday between 10am and 4pm.

Peter Jefferson, chief executive of the Cornwall Rural Community Council, said: "During Big Energy Saving Week we'll be helping communities explore the ways that they can save money on fuel bills.

"There are lots of practical things people can do to cut their fuel bills, from switching suppliers to joining an oil-buying group. We're keen to make sure people don't pay more than they have to for energy."
