ANDREW Berry and Damien Tucker, from Kernow Property Services, achieved their goal of cycling from London to Paris, raising more than £3,000 for the Children's Hospice South West.

The challenge, which took place over three days in May, was completely self-funded with 100 per cent of the money raised going to the charity.

The Avenue de Verte is a well trodden route, with a varying terrain, and it is traditionally completed in five days. With Andrew and Damien setting themselves the challenge of doing it in three days, this meant they spent up to 18 hours a day in the saddle. Both Andrew and Damien would like to thank everyone who donated and supported them during this event and are absolutely delighted at the amount they have managed to raise. They presented a cheque for £3,161.21p to Bernadette Chambers, from the Children's Hospice South West. Bernadette said: "This is Andrew and Damien's first fundraiser together, which they have thoroughly enjoyed doing, even if it was a struggle at times. But they are now planning their next challenge, so watch www.facebook.com/kernowpropertyservices for further updates."
