A 33-year-old man from Carharrack has been charged with the murder of David Alderson from Falmouth.
He was arrested in the Newbury area on Tuesday by officers from Thames Valley Police and will appear before Truro Magistrates Court later this morning.
The body of Mr Alderson, who was 72, was found on Saturday, January 18 in the grounds of the mine works at Wheal Maid near Carharrack.
Detective Superintendent Paul Burgan, from the major crime investigation team, said: “The public response to our earlier press appeal has been excellent and we would like to thank them for their assistance.
“The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with further information should call police on 101.”
