Motorist taken to hospital after car rolled 'several times'

A MOTORIST has been taken to hospital after he crashed into hedge on a narrow lane near Falmouth today.

Police said the silver VW Golf hit a hedge rolled several times before coming to rest on its roof at 2:15pm, blocking the road between Constantine and Treverva.

The male driver, who is in his thirties, was helped out of the car by a member of the public.

Police said he was “shaken” and taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro as a precaution.

The accident took place outside Bosvathick Farm near High Cross.

The road is still blocked while Highways Agency clean up the oil which was left on the road.

The car was registered to a Falmouth address.
