A CYCLIST from Camborne has died following a collision with a car last week.
Emergency services were called to help the 54-year-old on Friday morning at the eastbound carriageway of the A30 from Hayle to Tolvaddon.
He was airlifted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske in Truro with serious head and chest injuries where he sadly died yesterday.
The vehicle involved was a blue Daihatsu van, registered to Camborne.

So very sorry to read of this chaps death, but as I commented on this page last week, perhaps those that red arrowed me (when I suggested that A class roads with fast moving traffic were no place for pedal cyclists) would like to tell us why the power's that be prohibit cyclists from using motorways which have three lanes and a hardshoulder and a maximum speed limit of 70MPH,but allow cycling on A class trunk roads which have only two lanes, and the same speed limit?
