Lisa Dolley, Independent, Redruth North:
"I FIND as a unitary councillor it is much easier to get the simple, day-to-day things done because one authority delivers all services.
"The residents in my division know exactly who to contact when they have something that is bothering them and I like to think have a good track record of delivery.
"I really relish my role that enables me to help people and I get a huge amount of self satisfaction from solving problems and making a difference to people's lives.
"The council faces some tough budgetary decisions to achieve the savings foisted upon us by central government and times are going to get harder.
"This is never going to be easy, decisions have to be made that will affect the way services are delivered and ultimately will affect some people's lives.
"I will continue to do my best for the people of Cornwall and fight for the very best service delivery that I can get for them."
