CARN Brea Leisure Centre Trust, in Pool, made Christmas extra special for two young customers, who were the lucky winners of its Christmas drawing competition.

For a month the centre asked children aged 11 and under to submit drawings of whatever reminded them of Christmas.

An array of entries were received and judged by George Eustice, MP, who chose Gina Eastman, 5, and Grace Zaccardelli, 6, as the winners.

The children were then greeted by Mr Eustice when he visited the centre to present their prizes – an outdoor swing set, Razor scooter and a bundle of family swim vouchers. Mr Eustice said: "It has been wonderful to see all of the different drawings. There are definitely some talented young artists in the community."
