Rescue crews in New Zealand searching for missing Andrew Wyatt from Penryn have found a body under a cliff.
They body has not been formally identified, but it is understood that it was discovered at the bottom of a 100 metre cliff which made up part of the 41 year-old's planned route.
Mr Wyatt went missing two weeks ago and is reported to have been last seen in the Nelson Lakes National Park on the South Island of Zealand embarking on a one-day hike to collect food.
The Foreign Office were unable to confirm or deny any reports, but a spokesman said: "We are aware of the death of a British national in New Zealand and are providing consular assistance to the family at this difficult time."
Mr Wyatt arrived in New Zealand in November and was walking the 1,900-mile Te Araroa Trail, which runs along the entire length of the country.
