BATES MOTEL, who terrorised Cornwall and much of Europe in the early 90s, will bring a misty vacant stare to the eyes of those who remember their raucous, steamy, beer-fuelled gigs at long gone venues. The band had the power to drive the audience to a dancing frenzy seldom seen these days with their killer blend of stomping Celtic folk punk. They rise again from the ashes this Friday in what promises to be the biggest night of the year at the Studio Bar with accomplices Suitenoir and Jeffrey Nuthin in support. Tickets for the event sold out instantly but there's limited entry at the door at 9pm.
