Truro City's scheduled home game today against Hungerford Town in the Calor League was called off last night.

The Treyew Road playing surface was already saturated before yesterday's heavy rain.

City have only played one game in 2014 and already have four midweek matches to play because of earlier postponements and this will mean a fifth.

City are next due in action at Stourbridge on Tuesday evening and then travel to Redditch next Saturday.

Their next home match is against league leaders Hemel Hempstead Town on Saturday February 8.

The Truro City ladies' match at home to Stoke Lane Ath has has also ben called off.

City chairman pete Masters said: "After checking the pitch earlier today I have to agree with the decision.

"Yes it’s a nice day today and the pitch looks playable but the reality is that it is saturated. "Steve Massey now prepares for Tuesday’s away first team match at Stourbridge and second team promotion push match next weekend."
