An area around a large leaking propane gas cylinder was cordoned off by emergency services as attempts to make the cylinder safe were undertaken in St Minver, Wadebridge.

Six firefighters from Wadebridge, five from Bodmin and a water carrier were on the scene at around 3.20pm this afternoon.

The crews were unable to isolate the location of the leak from the 45 litre tank and instead used one hose reel and thermal imaging to allow the cylinder to vent under controlled conditions.
