The Archbishop of Canterbury will be in Cornwall for three days later this year.

The Most Reverend Justin Welby will visit the county from November 15-17.

The Bishop of Truro, the Right Reverend Tim Thornton, has asked churchgoers from across Cornwall to create a cross for the Archbishop’s appearance at Truro Cathedral on November 16.

He said: “We shall be inviting representatives of every parish and benefice to the service to be with the Archbishop, and I would like to invite you to consider creating a cross that can then come to the cathedral with your representatives.

“It would be marvellous to have a collection of crosses in and around the cathedral on that afternoon as we all focus on what Christ did for us.”

This will be the Archbishop's second visit to Cornwall thi syear following his appearance in Truro in March.
