You would be forgiven for thinking in today's touchscreen society that Apple Fest is a convention for geeky nerds all desperately tweeting 'retro pics' on their iPhones.
The Driftwood Spars in St Agnes is re-claiming the title with a traditional Apple Festival this weekend.
With help from Skreach Cider farm, the pub at Trevaunace cove will be turned into a haven for anyone who delights in the spherical jewels.
There will even be a traditional cider press available for anyone wanting to press their own apples into juice, a magician and a barn dance and Hog Roast in the evening.
Keen cooks are being invited to take part in the Great Apple Bake Off which is being judged by local food blogger Fiona Crump and Lisa Spratley from Vanillaboo.
Landlady, Louise Treseder said "There was a time when apple festivals were commonplace in the autumn months.
We thought we would bring it back in St Agnes so that everyone can celebrate one of our most favourite of fruits.
"We're so excited to have the apple press here and I can't wait for the Great Apple Bake Off."
With the obligatory ciders, perrys and apple juices available the event will appeal to apple lovers of all ages, and one would expect to see plenty of 'retro pic tweeting' taking place too.
