5 Women show off their arts and crafts

AS PART of the Fowey Festival, The Red Store at Lerryn is putting on an exhibition entitled 5 Women.

It will be an exhibition of arts and crafts, featuring artists from all over Cornwall, taking place from Friday to Sunday.

The artists cover a range of work.

Georgina Cominos is a potter who works with beautiful practical pottery and also in sculpture.

Pamela Dearing is a painter, and works in mixed media on canvas, and with machine and hand-embroidered textile paintings.

Janet Downes is a jeweller who incorporates silver into exquisite contemporary designs.

Carol Horsington is a willow artist using traditional willow and green wood that is locally sourced and handcrafted to create both practical items and sculptural work.

Claire Maxwell works mainly in textiles, creating a diverse range of products with vintage-inspired textiles and brooches with a graphic twist.

The exhibition runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm and entry is free.
